Foxfield Ave. Raheny

A fantastic family home, renovated to accommodate a growing family. The house was changed from a three-bed into a four-bedroom home and gained a bright, open-plan multipurpose space.

The removal of the garage to the side of the house allowed for the creation of a master suite, as well as a bright, spacious multi-purpose room.

We ended the project by adding a lovely concrete path through the garden ending in a patio area, which we finished with stunning wooden benches built into the concrete backing.

Project Overview

We worked on this home in conjunction with the clients and their architect. The idea was to develop the house from a three-bed into a four-bed, to grow along with the clients extending family.

First on the agenda was the removal of a garage to the side of the house. The area would then be rebuilt and combined with an upward extension to create the master suite.

The next thing that the client and the design team were looking for was a total refurbishment of the interior space of the house. We took the interior of the house and pulled it back to the bare bones and from there completely rewired and replumbed the house, added new insulation, and replaced the old glazing on the windows.

From the space that we gained from the demolition of the garage, we were able to build a bright, spacious multi-purpose room. This allowed us to create a gorgeous open plan area that passes into the re-designed kitchen, with the luxurious tiling, fashionable metal lighting, and an incredible new island made of splendid stonework.

Once we finished with the interior, we moved outside. We had in-depth discussions about what the client and the design team wanted aesthetically, and we ended up putting in a lovely concrete path through the garden ending in a patio area, which we finished with stunning wooden benches built into the concrete backing.

We also worked in the front door area, creating a warm, welcoming wooden area that was sided by impressive metal strut work that gives off a feeling of strength and support.

The project was exceptionally collaborative, and we felt that working alongside this client and their design team created a real feeling of synergy. We love projects like this, where we can help a growing family, by growing the home that they live in.
