Project Overview

When we took on this job, the client wanted a full refurbishment of their home. So we went in and started with a first-floor extension above the garage, adding a new en suite bedroom to the house. The client was absolutely thrilled with this part of the build, especially the en suite. In the en suite, we included a Bluetooth mirror over the sink and a dual-headed shower for that extra luxurious feeling. 

Next,  we started on the stairs. We completely changed the layout, closing them off completely, the client hadn’t originally had this as part of their brief but thought if they didn’t do it now they would regret it, and we agreed. 

When we moved downstairs it was decided that we would lower the floors to add in a bit of extra ceiling height. This really opened up the space and allowed for a lovely bright and spacious area. We had begun to lay door frames, but with the extra ceiling space the client felt that they didn’t look right. We told them right off the bat that they’d take longer and be more expensive as the doors and the frames would have to be custom designed and custom made. The client was happy with this, and we said it’s your home, we’ll find a way through it and make sure that you get exactly what you want.
